Integrating DSRC with WIM Pro enables a more precise, automated and efficient approach to roadside control, supporting authorities in enhancing safety and operational effectiveness.

With EU regulations on remote reading of digital tachographs (DSRC) now in effect, enforcement agencies across Europe face the need to upgrade their operational infrastructure. At APM PRO, we address this challenge by integrating DSRC technology with our established WIM Pro system, widely used in heavy-vehicle pre-selection.

The combination of both technologies enables a more comprehensive and automated process. The system provides remote acquisition of tachograph data from vehicles in motion, automatic correlation of DSRC information with weigh-in-motion results, and a vehicle image linked to each record, supporting clear identification and smoother follow-up.

This solution builds on extensive experience gained from numerous WIM deployments in Poland and the continuous development of technologies that enhance road safety and enforcement efficiency.

The goal of DSRC + WIM Pro is to provide tools that:

– support inspectors in daily operations,

– reduce operational costs,

– maximise the value of existing infrastructure.

It represents a significant step toward intelligent, digital and EU-compliant transport enforcement systems tailored to the operational needs of Polish and European authorities.

Increasing EU requirements for remote reading of digital tachographs (DSRC) are accelerating the modernisation of heavy-vehicle enforcement systems across Europe.
